Personal Interests

Dr. Trivedi likes yoga, tennis, running, music of all genres, playing piano and guitar, watching all sports especially the Dallas area teams (Go Cowboys!), cooking and baking with her boys.

Biography

Dr. Trivedi is a north Dallas area native. She received her undergraduate degrees from UT Dallas as a Collegium V Honors Scholar where she was also a Silver Anniversary Scholar as well as a McDermott Scholar. She received her undergraduate degrees in Biology (Bachelor of Science) and Music (Bachelor of Arts). She attended the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth, TX where she received her doctorate in osteopathic medicine. She was very active in volunteering and participating in pediatric events and health fairs in the community throughout her time in North Texas.

Dr. Trivedi then went to Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago, IL where she completed her Pediatrics residency. She continued to take an active participating in community events in the Chicago area as well. Her research in residency, Vitamin D level as a predictive factor of certain parameters in patients with type 1 diabetes, earned her a poster and podium presentation for the European Society of Pediatric Endocrinology conference in Milan, Italy.

After residency, Dr. Trivedi returned to north Texas for her Pediatric Endocrinology fellowship at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas, TX. Her fellowship research was in the area of glucose homeostasis as it relates to vitamin D levels in patients with cystic fibrosis. She was consistently involved in various events in the Dallas area throughout fellowship including volunteering at Camp Sweeney, one of the largest camps for children with type 1 diabetes in the country.

Dr. Trivedi joined the Children’s Health Pediatric Group after fellowship where she was the pediatric endocrinologist physician for their large network of over 18 clinics. She held the title of Assistant Professor at Children’s Medical Center and had a teaching role for the pediatrics residents during this time.

Dr. Trivedi is now a proud team member at Pediatric Endocrinology of North Texas. An emphasis of her passion for providing care is personalizing that care as much as possible to each specific patient and family; she appreciates the high priority Dr. Burton has placed on this as well.

Dr. Trivedi lives in the Dallas area with her husband and two young sons. They enjoy doing things together as a family like traveling abroad, staying active outside, playing soccer, doing yoga together, enjoying music, watching sports of all kinds, and cooking and baking!
